Curriculum

The Geography curriculum bridges the social sciences and natural sciences. Pupils will Find out what makes our discipline essential in understanding the world in which we live. Pupils study different places from local to National and international, and the relationships between people and their environments. They explore the physical properties of the earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it.

Students will make progress towards becoming a geographer, understanding and valuing the importance of the subject to their life now and in their future. Investigate and ask their own geographical questions. Develop their curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. To understand the interconnectedness of the human and natural worlds and the need for sustainability within both. Altimetry pupils will expand their world knowledge of places.

Lincolnshire and neighbouring Yorkshire are geographically interesting counties featuring many sites linked to our curriculum such as The Yorkshire Moors, the Lincolnshire Coast and Whisby Nature Park.
