JSTC supports Ukraine!
We would like to thank everyone for their donations for Ukraine and our efforts continue next week! Our student council are selling Ukraine badges in order to raise money for this great cause and these can be available for students on Thursday 24th March, outside the canteen. Staff have already been wearing these badges around the school site and it is great to see so many wearing the badges already.
From Monday 28th March, students will be engaging in activities during tutor time helping them understand the on-going conflict in Ukraine. Mrs Powell, our Assistant Headteacher, has designed suitable resources and activities to educate students on how to deal with fake news, upsetting content and information that causes anxiety regarding current world affairs. The resources are supporting JSTCs Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing awareness. A big thank you to Mrs Powell!
Thursday 31st March is going to be a non-uniform day! Students can wear their own clothes, an item of yellow or blue included, to show our unity with Ukraine and donate £1.
During the last week of term, some of our Year 10 Arts students went to London to experience some of the enriching culture the city provides. Exploring the Natural History Museum, London Dungeons and even a visit to Buckingham Palace!
Students were able to watch a breath-taking performance of Disney's Lion King in the Lyceum Theatre.
A big thank you to Mrs Baxter for organising this amazing trip!
